Summa Physicians Inc. Expands 9 October, 2006 Summa Physicians Inc. Adds Three New Practices, Eight New Physicians
Akron, Ohio, Oct. 9, 2006 – Summa Health System Hospitals is pleased to announce the recent addition of three new practices and eight physicians to Summa Physicians Inc. (SPI), its organization of multi-specialty physicians. New to SPI are Summa Psychiatry Associates, Summa Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine and Summa Family Medicine. In addition, Dr. Adrian Dan has joined the existing practice of Summa Physicians Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for Northeast Ohio.
Summa Psychiatry Associates
SPI opened Summa Psychiatry Associates with the addition of Lynn Klimo, M.D. and Thomas Robb, D.O. Both are board certified in psychiatry, with Klimo receiving her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and Robb receiving his from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. Their offices are located on the St. Thomas Hospital Campus at 444 N. Main St., Suite 408 in Akron. New patients are welcome by calling 330-379-8190.
Summa Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine
Providing specialized treatment to people with sports and other orthopaedic-related injuries and illnesses, Summa’s Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine center consists of Dr. Scott Weiner, an orthopaedic oncologist, Dr. Nilesh Shah, a sports medicine physician, Dr. Jeffrey Junko, a foot and ankle specialist and Dr. Ian Alexander, a foot and ankle specialist. Summa Family Medicine
Newly formed Summa Family Medicine has added Dr. Lisa Esterle. Board certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, Esterle specializes in women’s health, pediatrics and geriatrics. Her practice is located at 970 E. Summa Physicians Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for Northeast Ohio
Dr. Adrian Dan has joined the existing practice of Summa Physicians Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for Northeast Ohio. Dan, who joins Dr. John Zografakis, is board certified in general surgery and fellowship trained in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He specializes in abdominal laparoscopic surgery, minimally invasive weight loss surgery, laparoscopic treatment of abdominal /inguinal hernias and laparoscopic colon resections for both benign and malignant disease.
